Privacy policy

Beacon Reach is an app that helps musicians and content creators plan, make and schedule their own videos and music. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: we collect only what the app needs to work, we never sell your data, and we never use it for advertising.

What we collect

• Your account. Your email address, a display name, and a password. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never as readable text.
• Your content. The videos, captions, titles, cover art, song files and notes you add, and your posting schedule.
• Studio audio. Music you make in the studio is kept on your phone. When you export an MP3 or WAV, the project audio is sent to our server to be rendered and then returned to you.
• Platform connections. When you connect TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or YouTube, the platform gives us a login token and basic profile details such as your display name, username or Page name, and the posting options available to your account. We do not receive or store your platform passwords.

Permissions the app asks for

• Photos, so you can choose videos to schedule.
• Notifications, to remind you when it is time to post.
• Microphone, to record parts in the Music Studio.

How we use it

Only to run the app: to show your schedule back to you, to remind you at post time, and to publish the posts you approve to the platforms you connected, at the times you choose. We never post without your approval. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.

Where it is stored

Account details, schedules, videos and login tokens are stored on the Beacon Reach server, which is hosted with a cloud provider. Videos are kept only until they are published or you delete them. Videos and music that you keep on your own phone stay on your phone.

Sharing

We share your content with a platform only when you approve a post to that platform, and only to publish it as you asked. We do not sell or rent personal information. If you open an AI app from Beacon Reach, the prompt you see is copied to your clipboard and handed to that app, which handles it under its own terms and privacy policy.

Your choices

• Disconnect any platform in Settings. This deletes its login tokens and stops all posting to it.
• Delete a post to delete its video from our server.
• Delete your account and everything in it from Settings, Delete my account and data, or by following our delete your data steps.
• Remove Beacon Reach's access from inside TikTok, Instagram, Facebook or your Google account at any time.

Children

Beacon Reach is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for meaningful changes, tell you in the app.
